Galvanized reinforcement was used to build the world’s largest sundial, constructed in Singleton NSW to celebrate Australia’s bicentenary in 1988. The sundial measures 14.6m long and 7.92m high. It is built of 30 t of concrete with 2.5 km of galvanized steel reinforcement for long-term corrosion protection.
